I. 五役者の目的

- 使徒、預言者、伝道者、牧者（牧師）、教師
- 目的：
- 聖徒を整えて奉仕の働きをさせる

II. 誤用と誤解の危険性
- 「五役者」は役職ではなく機能（働き）

- 親指 – 使徒
- 多機能型、土台を築き、次へと場所を移す開拓者。
- 人差し指 – 預言者
- 神の声を指し示す、方向・霊的識別・夢や幻。
- 中指 – 伝道者
- 一番リーチが長く、未伝道の人々に届く情熱家。
- 薬指 – 牧者（牧師）
- 教会と結ばれた存在。愛をもって育て守る。
- 小指 – 教師
- 耳に届く細やかな真理の語り手。土台を築く。
IV. 一つの役者に偏ることの危険性
- 伝道者だけ：救いは起きるが成長がない。
- 牧者だけ：愛にあふれるが外への働きがない。
- 教師だけ：知識は豊富でも従順や力に欠ける。
- 預言者だけ：啓示が多すぎて方向性が混乱。
- 使徒不在：拡大・訓練・派遣のビジョンがない。
V. まず私たちは弟子である
- すべての信徒が弟子として：
- イエスを伝える
- 癒しを行う
- 弟子を作る

Understanding the Five-Fold Ministry

"Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service..." (Eph. 4:11–12)
I. The Purpose of the Five-Fold Ministry
📖 Ephesians 4:11–16
- Gifts from Christ: Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor (Shepherd), Teacher.
- Purpose:
- Equip believers for ministry.
- Build up the body of Christ.
- Achieve unity in faith and knowledge.
- Maturity and Christlikeness.
- Protection from false teaching.
- Growth in love and function (v.16).
II. Dangers of Misuse and Misunderstanding
- Past abuse: Used to label or control.
- Example: Being “stamped” as an evangelist, but restricted from church planting.
- Fivefold is not about title or rank, but function.
- Church dysfunction happens when the fivefold is reduced to only pastors and teachers.
III. Understanding Each Role (Hand Illustration)
✋ Five Fingers Analogy:
- Thumb – Apostle (Touch all the others):
- Foundation layers.
- Start, build, and release.
- Can function a bit in all areas.
- Index Finger – Prophet:
- Points direction.
- Calls out sin, emphasises intimacy with God.
- Dreams, visions, discernment.
- Middle Finger – Evangelist:
- Longest – Reaches out.
- Draws people in from outside.
- Burden for the lost.
- Ring Finger – Pastor/Shepherd:
- Married to the church.
- Nurtures, protects, provides spiritual care.
- Pinky – Teacher:
- Digs out wax from ears – helps us hear truth.
- Provides doctrine, foundation.
- Ensures sound teaching and stability.
IV. What Happens When One Role Dominates?
- Evangelist only: High turnover, no growth.
- Pastor only: Family atmosphere, but no outreach.
- Teacher only: Knowledge-heavy, little obedience or power.
- Prophet only: Spiritual weirdness, isolation, lack of grounding.
- No Apostolic Leadership: No vision for multiplication or strategy.
V. Everyone Is a Disciple First
- All are called to:
- Share Jesus
- Heal the sick
- Disciple others
- But some are more gifted in certain roles.
VI. Recognising Your Role
- Use a “Chair Test”: Which gift do you most relate to?
- Not exclusive: We may flow in more than one.
- Recognise your strength to serve better.
VII. Working Together
- Diversity in the team is powerful (example: Mexico team).
- Avoid comparison. Instead, collaborate.
- Example: Prophets helping teachers, evangelists learning from shepherds.
VIII. Apostolic Thinking
- Apostolic leaders think big picture:
- Multiply churches.
- Train and release others.
- Nation-level vision.
- Apostles help release and empower the others.
IX. Application to Ministry Teams & Churches
- Identify roles in your local community.
- Partner across the gifts.
- Build teams with diverse strengths:
- Not five evangelists, but one of each.
- Create holistic growth:
- Reach the lost.
- Care for them.
- Ground them in truth.
- Guide them prophetically.
- Multiply movements.
X. Personal Commission to Each Role
🔥 To Evangelists:
- Break through in healing, salvation, and boldness.
- Stir the faith of the whole body.
- Challenge: Be the best Philip you can be (Acts 8).
🕊️ To Shepherds:
- See and care for the hurting.
- Take responsibility for people’s growth.
- Create a true spiritual family.
📖 To Teachers:
- Defend sound doctrine.
- Lay strong foundations.
- Raise the next generation of clear, biblical thinkers.
🌩️ To Prophets:
- Restore the fear of the Lord.
- Discern clearly.
- Speak with authority and maturity—not confusion.
- Call the body back to intimacy with the Spirit.
Closing Exhortation
- Jesus was all five. Now, He distributes His nature through the body.
- We are not complete alone—we are the body together.
- Recognise your gift.
- Honour others.
- Work in unity.
