The clouds and the sunrise this morning made a beautiful scene over Osaka with a clearly seen cross.
I had just been reading in Psalm 33:
“From heaven the Lord looks down and sees all mankind; from his dwelling place he watches all who live on earth— he who forms the hearts of all, who considers everything they do.” (Psalm 33:13-15 NIV)
As we enter a new year, we are filled with anticipation of what our loving heavenly Father is going to do. We continue to simply enjoy his presence, as He enjoys us, and invite others near and far to come and meet Him too.
This year we have some exciting new projects which we will introduce in due time, but the foundation of our lives and the cry of our hearts continues to be to receive a deeper revelation and greater experience of His wonderful presence in us, amongst us and through us.
May you all continue to grown in the knowledge and experience of His love.
Did you know, God is not seeking your worship!?
He is seeking YOU! He is committed to pursuing a relationship with you.
“Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.” JOHN 4:23
If I was walking down the street and a stranger suddenly approached me and kissed me, I wouldn’t be very happy.
But if my wife or son approached me and expressed their love for me with a kiss or in some other way, I would be overjoyed.
The difference? Relationship.
If human relationships are like this, then so much more is our relationship with God.
From morning to night, through out the watches of the night, our Heavenly Father is wanting the interactions of relationship: the good, the bad, the joy, the sadness, our lives constantly expressed and surrendered to Him.
We do this not to gain His love or attain His favour but BECAUSE we already have His love and favour!
Let me challenge you to pray this simple prayer each morning:
“Lord, if I simply just enjoy being with you, and you enjoy being with me on this day, then this will be a wonderful day!”
Let me pray the prayer from Ephesians 3 over you!
16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge–that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
