Pray for Our Persecuted Brothers and Sisters

International Day of Prayer | November 1 & 8, 2026

Around the world today, countless Christians face persecution, discrimination, violence, and hardship simply because they believe in Jesus Christ.

In some places, believers cannot openly express their faith or gather freely for worship. Others risk losing their families, livelihoods, homes, or even their lives because of their commitment to follow Jesus.

Across parts of the Middle East, including Syria, Iran, and Iraq, Christians continue to face serious challenges amid years of conflict, instability, and religious persecution.

Yet even in the midst of suffering, many believers continue to trust God, gather in worship, pray, and encourage one another. Their faith and perseverance remind us of the hope we share in Christ.

We must not forget these brothers and sisters.

The Bible reminds us that we are all members of one body in Christ:

“If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.”

1 Corinthians 12:26 (NIV)

On November 1 and 8, 2026, Christians around the world will unite in prayer for the persecuted Church.

We invite you to join them.

Pray for God's protection and encouragement over those facing persecution. Pray for healing for those who have suffered, provision for their daily needs, and renewed strength, courage, and hope. Pray also that God's love and peace would reach the hearts of those responsible for persecution.

Whether in our churches, prayer gatherings, homes, or personal times with God, we can stand together with our brothers and sisters through prayer.

And may our prayers continue beyond these two Sundays, as we remember them throughout the year.

Though separated by distance, we are one family in Christ.
