SELECT A DAY:

PRAY
Pray the daily prayer out loud.
Do the 7 Minute Morning prayer first thing in the day.
Lord, I am Your son.
I come to You now in the name of Your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, of whom You said, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” (Matthew 3:17)
Father God, because I am in Christ, You now speak those same words over me—over my heart, mind, soul, and body:
“This is My son, in whom I am well pleased.”
Today I receive Your fatherly affection.
In Christ, I receive Your attention and Your loving gaze.
I receive Your love.
As Jesus said, “As the Father has loved Me, so I have loved you. Remain in My love.”
Lord, today I remain in Your love.
I receive Your love and breathe it in deeply.
I remind myself today that this love, acceptance, and validation from the Father are gifts through Christ Jesus that I simply receive like a child.
Because I am Your child, show me my sonship in Christ today.
Help me remember it throughout this day.
In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

PRAY

Lord, I am a warrior in Christ Jesus, created by the Warrior God. (Exodus 15:3)
I have been created for battle, for we are in a desperate fight for the souls of men.
Today I present myself to You as a warrior, dressed and ready in the full armour of God.
I set my mind and heart to listen to the Captain’s call and the General’s commands—to listen and obey.
Today, I put on the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the readiness of the gospel of peace;
I take up the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit - the Word of God.
I put on each piece of armour with prayer and faith. I wield the sword of the Spirit - the Word of God - with confidence and authority.
I remind myself that I have an enemy, but that my enemy has already been completely defeated.
In Christ, I have authority over the enemy.
Today I am called to fight the good fight and to complete the task and calling You have given me.
I remind myself that You are with me and that You fight on my behalf as I fully submit to You.
Teach me more today about being a warrior in Christ.
Amen.

Jesus, as I come to You today, I am reminded that You told Your disciples,

Thank You for calling me and drawing me into friendship with You.
Thank You that I am growing beyond simply being a servant into knowing Your heart, hearing Your voice, and living according to Your heart.
As friends share their hearts with one another, thank You that You know my heart.
Lord, I want to know more of Your heart.
I give You my heart and ask You to examine it.
Show me anything that would hinder our friendship, so that I may live fully devoted, completely surrendered, and walking humbly and intimately with You, my Friend.
Holy Spirit, thank You that You are my Friend.
Thank You that You dwell within me, walk with me, and hem me in behind and before.
Lead me today and show me more of what it means to be a friend of God.

PRAY

Father God,
I come before You today asking for a deeper revelation of the fear of God.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom (Psalm 111:10), and Lord, I want to grow in Your wisdom.
The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever. (Psalm 19:9)
Teach me to walk in the fear of the Lord, constantly aware of You,
honoring and revering You, every hour of every day.
Let it not be a fear that causes me to flee, to avoid You.
But a fear that draws me near to You in reverent awe.
Lord, as John saw Jesus in a new way in his revelation (Revelation 1:17)
reveal more of Your character and nature to me, that I too would fall before You in worship and awe.
I ask this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Amen.

Precious Lord Jesus,
Teach me today to walk the path of dying to myself and living in You.
I have died, and my life is now hidden with Christ in God (Colossians 3:3).
Jesus said that unless a seed dies, it cannot produce fruit (John 12:24).
Without dying, nothing can truly live.
Though the world continually tempts me to put myself first, You have shown me that true life is found in dying to self each day.
You said that we must take up our cross daily and follow You (Luke 9:23).
Today, I surrender my life anew to You.
Teach me to die to myself in every area and every relationship, so that Christ may be revealed in me and through me, for Your glory.
I ask this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Amen.

Father God,
Today, I choose to rejoice.
I speak to my soul—my mind, my emotions, and my will—and I declare,
"Bless the Lord, O my soul" (Psalm 103:1).
I command my soul to submit to my spirit, which is united with You through the Holy Spirit.
Strengthen me to rejoice in the salvation You have given me, regardless of the battles, difficulties, or challenges that I or those around me may face.
Indeed, I choose rejoicing as my weapon in the many battles of life. As I rejoice, celebrate and worship, Lord, send an ambush and defeat the enemy, as you did for Jehosophat (2 Chronicles 20:21–23).
The joy of the Lord is my strength (Nehemiah 8:10).
Lead me today as I choose to rejoice.
I ask this in Jesus' name.
Amen.

Father,
I come to You today because I want to grow in brotherly love in Christ Jesus.
You came not to be served, but to serve and to give Your life as a ransom for many. (Matthew 20:28)
As a new creation in Christ, my life is now joined with Yours for that same purpose.
As I walk in obedience to Your voice, I recognise that You have called me to serve those around me.
You created me to live in brotherly love.
Jesus, You became a man so that You could become the firstborn among many brothers and bring many sons to glory.
(Hebrews 2:10–11)
I recognise that I have been born into a family—a brotherhood.
Father, I surrender every part of me that resists the humility that is needed to build the brotherhood that You have called me to.
Holy Spirit, realign my heart with this glorious purpose.
Show me the inheritance You have placed in the brothers around me, and remove anything that hinders me from growing in the fullness of the brotherly love You intend for me.
In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ,
Amen.

Dear Lord Jesus,
Today, I come before You, asking that you teach me and help me to bear my brothers’ burdens.
You called ordinary men to follow You, shared Your life with them, and entrusted them to represent You on the earth through the power of the Holy Spirit.
You carried our ultimate burden on the cross—and now You have commissioned us to go into all the world and express Your life through our lives in practical, tangible ways.
Jesus, You said that the world would know we are Your followers because of our love we have for one-another.
(John 13:35)
Teach me what it means to be a true brother in Christ—to carry one another’s burdens and so fulfil the law of Christ.
At the same time, show me the load, the responsibilities that I—and each brother—must carry for ourselves.
(Galatians 6:2–5)
Help me discern the difference, so that together we may become the family—the brotherhood—You desire us to be.
In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ,
Amen.

Dear Father,
In Christ, I make myself a servant—a slave—to everyone for Your Name and Your glory.
Lord, You created me with a desire for greatness. However, You taught that whoever wants to be great must become the servant of all.
You did not deny our desire but You showed us the path to true greatness is through humility, servanthood and self-denial.
(Mark 10:42–45)
Lord, I long for genuine, deep, intimate relationships—in family, friendship, marriage, brotherhood—yet I confess that my pride and ego often stand in the way.
Today I surrender every part of me that opposes what Your Spirit longs to produce in me.
Give me deeper understanding and revelation of true greatness, and what it really means to be a brother in Christ.
Teach me to walk the path of humility and servitude.

Dear Lord Jesus,
I offer myself to You today, to be a living example follower of Christ to everyone I meet.
I offer myself for this purpose particularly to those closest to me.
Lord, You showed us an example by serving Your disciples, washing their feet, and laying down Your life for them.
You called us to follow Your example.
Your servant Paul also urged his brothers to imitate his example as he followed Christ.
(1 Corinthians 11:1)
Lord, I surrender my false humility that says I cannot be an example to others.
I renounce the lie that I am not worthy or not qualified; for You have called me and qualified me through Christ to live as His example.
(1 Timothy 4:12)
I give You every part of my life—especially the hidden places known only to You and those closest to me.
I repent of making excuses. I fix my eyes on Jesus, and remind myself that my qualification comes through Christ, not through my own efforts.
Help me to humbly live as an example to those around me, especially those within my closest circle of influence.

Dear Lord Jesus,
I ask You today, to help me stand firm both alone and together with others—brothers and the family of believers You’ve called me to.
Thank You for the family of God and the brotherhood of all believers which You have brought me into through Christ.
I also remember that in life there are battles I must face alone—relying on the truth that You are with me, and I am never alone.
(Hebrews 13:5)
Thank You, Holy Spirit, that You are with me and living in me.
I remember how Jesus, You were filled with the Holy Spirit and immediately led by the Spirit to spend forty days in the wilderness learning to find Your strength in the Holy Spirit given by the Father.
Lord, I remember how many of Your servants throughout Scripture—Joseph, Moses, David, the prophets—learned to stand firm through long seasons of solitude.
Strengthen me, Lord, to find my strength and sustenance in the secret place of Your presence. And give me wisdom to walk in balance—growing strong in my personal walk with You while also walking humbly alongside my brothers in Christ.
I ask this in Jesus' name,
Amen.

PRAY

Father God,
Show me how my love for You must be reflected in how I love others.
As You continue to reveal Your love to me, teach me how to express that love to those around me, especially my family, my brothers in Christ and the family of faith.
Your Word says that whoever claims to love God yet does not love his brother is a liar.
(1 John 4:20–21)
Lord, I desire to have an undivided heart, where my love for You is reflected in the way I love others.
Search my heart and know me. Reveal any pride, offence, or wounded way within me.
I renounce and surrender those things that hinder or damage relationships.
Lead me to walk in Your light—as You are in the light—where the blood of Jesus cleanses me from all sin, and I am restored to fellowship and relationship with others.
(1 John 1:7)
Teach me to express my love for You in practical, tangible ways through the way I love the people You have placed around me.
I give my life to You for this purpose.
In Jesus' name, Amen.

PRAY
Pray the daily prayer out loud.
Do the 7 Minute Morning prayer first thing in the day.
Heavenly Father,
Today I choose to submit to others out of reverence for Christ. (Ephesians 5:21)
I remind myself that I have died, and my life is now hidden with Christ in God.
(Colossians 3:3)
Therefore my pride, my ego, and my need to defend, validate, or promote myself were crucified with Christ.
Thank You, Lord Jesus, for showing us the example, when although You had all authority, You humbled Yourself. Like a lamb led to the slaughter, You remained silent before Your accusers.
(Isaiah 53:7)
Though You could have called on legions of angels, You chose the path of humble obedience to the cross.
(Matthew 26:53)
Teach me that submission is not weakness, but the expression of Christ's love through the strength You have given me.
I surrender this area of my life to You. Show me today how to walk in humble submission to others out of reverence for Christ.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

Heavenly Father,
I surrender my temperament, my emotions, and my inner life to You. I invite the work of Your Holy Spirit to form Christ in me.
(Galatians 4:19; Philippians 2:13)
Lord, let Your love dwell in me and flow through me. I declare that I will not be easily offended or easily angered, but will walk in the love You have placed within me. Your Word says that love is patient and kind, and is not easily angered.
(1 Corinthians 13:4–5)
I put aside childish ways—sulking, manipulation, and immature reactions. When I was a child, I thought, reasoned, and acted like a child. But now, by Your grace, I choose to walk as a mature man in Christ.
(1 Corinthians 13:11)
I bring my emotions, my feelings, and my temperament under the lordship of Jesus Christ.
Lord, reveal any bitter roots in my heart.
(Hebrews 12:15)
Show me where I have been controlled by anger, or where I have used anger to control or manipulate others. Reveal any inner vows or agreements I have made to use anger as a weapon, or any wounds that have caused me to withdraw in fear from angry people.
Teach me what it means to be angry and yet not sin.
(Ephesians 4:26–27)
Show me how to direct righteous anger against the enemy of our souls, and never against the people You love.
I consecrate this area of my heart and life to You. Form Christ within me, and let the fruit of the Spirit grow in me, especially love, patience, kindness, gentleness, and self-control.

PRAY

Do the 7 Minute Morning prayer first thing in the day.
Heavenly Father,
I relinquish to You my right and control of my finances and place all my money under Your lordship.
I declare that all my money, possessions, and future income belong to You—not merely the portion I choose to give away.
Jesus, You said that no one can serve both God and money. (Matthew 6:24) I choose to serve You alone.
Your Word teaches that the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.
(1 Timothy 6:10)
It also says that where envy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every evil practice.
(James 3:16)
Therefore, I invite the fear of the Lord and Your practical wisdom into every area of my finances.
Lord, we have all seen relationships damaged and destroyed because of money. I choose not to be controlled by money, nor will I use money—or my need for money—to manipulate or control others. You alone are my Provider and my Sustainer.
Lord, I do not live under legalism or merely follow rules about giving. Instead, I choose to obey Your voice. Your Word says that whoever sows generously will also reap generously.
(2 Corinthians 9:6)
Therefore I commit to sow generously into Your Kingdom.
Teach me to decide in my heart what to give, whom to give to, and how to give—not reluctantly or under compulsion, but with joyful obedience.
(2 Corinthians 9:7)
I trust that You are able to make all grace abound to me, so that in all things, at all times, having all that I need, I will abound in every good work.
(2 Corinthians 9:8)
Above all, I choose to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that every financial need will be provided in Your perfect timing and according to Your will.
(Matthew 6:33)
I pray this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Amen.

PRAY
Pray the daily prayer out loud.
Do the 7 Minute Morning prayer first thing in the day.
Heavenly Father,
I dedicate and consecrate my reputation to Your lordship.
The way I am perceived, spoken of, and thought of by others, I now lay at Your feet.
Your Word says that the fear of man will prove to be a snare. (Proverbs 29:25) Therefore, in the name of Jesus, I relinquish my desire to look good in the eyes of others or to be regarded as important.
I repent for finding my identity, worth, or value in what people think of me—in my abilities, my gifts, my accomplishments, or my possessions.
Instead, I choose to follow Jesus, who made Himself nothing, taking the nature of a servant, and who was despised and rejected by men. (Philippians 2:5–8; Isaiah 53:3) I choose to share in His sufferings rather than seek the approval of people. (Philippians 3:10)
Lord, expose every lie the enemy has planted in my heart from childhood. Reveal every false belief that has been taught to me or that I have embraced—that my value depends on the opinions of others.
I lay every one of those lies at the foot of the cross.
Renew my mind by Your Holy Spirit. (Romans 12:2) Teach me to see myself as You see me, and to find my identity in Christ alone.
Your Word says that from now on we regard no one according to the flesh. (2 Corinthians 5:16) Therefore, I repent for judging or valuing people according to worldly standards—their appearance, abilities, achievements, possessions, or reputation.
Help the eyes of my heart to see people as You see them. Teach me to value others according to Your Spirit, not according to the flesh.
I surrender this area of my life completely to You. May my identity be found in Christ alone, and may my only desire be to please You.
In the name of Jesus,
Amen.

Heavenly Father,
I surrender all my dreams, visions, gifts, abilities, passions, and desires to the lordship of Jesus Christ.
Thank You for every gift You have given me, for the passions You have placed within me, and for the calling and direction You have faithfully led me in.
Yet, just as Abraham placed Isaac on the altar in obedience to You, (Genesis 22:1–18) I now lay everything upon the altar as an act of worship.
Lord, You have my heart—my past, my present, and my future.
In Christ, I long to accomplish great things for Your glory. Yet I choose to hold every dream, vision, and calling with open hands, so that above all else I may simply hear Your voice and obey You. (John 10:27)
Teach me to live a life marked by love, faithfully serving the people You place around me. (Galatians 5:13–14)
Lord, if I have made an idol of ministry, work, projects, success, vision, or even the dreams You have given me, please reveal it to me. (Exodus 20:3; 1 John 5:21) Show me anything that has taken Your rightful place on the throne of my heart.
One by one, I bring these things under Your lordship.
If there is anything You desire to remove, I surrender it. If there is anything You desire to refine or adjust, I welcome it. If there is anything You desire to add to my life, I receive it with gratitude.
Holy Spirit, direct my steps. (Proverbs 3:5–6) Let my greatest desire be not the fulfilment of my own dreams, but faithful obedience to Jesus.
In the name of Jesus,
Amen.

PRAY

Lord,
I am a warrior in the midst of an epic, unseen battle that is raging all around me, all over the earth.
Your Word says, “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”
(1 Peter 5:8)
It also says that we are not unaware of his schemes.
(2 Corinthians 2:11)
Lord, we recognise that sin is not just about our actions and attitudes, but there is also a demonic enemy battling against us, seeking to gain access to our lives. All around us we can see what happens when human beings give access to the enemy.
Praise You, Lord, for Jesus Christ, who has closed the door of access. In His authority, we resist the devil, and he flees from us.
(James 4:7)
Lord, we recognise that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the powers of this dark world and the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. (Ephesians 6:12)
At the same time, Lord, we remind ourselves that the battle is not ours, but Yours.
(2 Chronicles 20:15)
And we look to the end of the story. We see that satan, the accuser of our brothers and sisters, will be completely thrown down and defeated for all eternity.
(Revelation 12:10; Revelation 20:10)
In the meantime, Lord, You have called us to this battle—for our lives, for our families, and for the nations of the world.
We reassure ourselves with Your words: “Be still, and know that I am God.” You will be exalted among the nations; You will be exalted in the earth.
(Psalm 46:10)
Lord, show us more of who we are in Christ and what this spiritual battle is that we are a part of.
We ask this in Jesus’ name.
Amen.

Lord,
Whether I like it or not, I am a warrior called and commissioned; and in the midst of a fierce battle for the lives of people.
Just as Elisha’s servant was afraid when he saw the huge enemy against them, the prophet encouraged him: “Don’t be afraid. Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” Then Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.”
(2 Kings 6:16–17)
And we pray, Lord, right now: open our eyes to see.
Show us that greater is the One living in us than the enemy who is in the world.
(1 John 4:4)
Show us, Lord, that we have been called and commissioned to this battle in Your authority and in Your name.
Lord, You have entrusted the earth to us as gatekeepers, watchmen and guardsmen. Your Word says, “The highest heavens belong to the Lord, but the earth he has given to mankind.”
(Psalm 115:16)
And just like Jesus, we can say that although the prince of this world is coming and is working in the world right now, he has no hold over us.
(John 14:30)
Lord, as we become excellent in what is good and innocent of evil, You, the God of peace, will soon crush satan under our feet.
(Romans 16:19–20)
Lord, show us more of the spiritual reality of this world and who we are called and commissioned to be.
In Jesus’ name.
Amen.

Lord,
I am a warrior who has been given authority in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Jesus, through Your cross, resurrection and ascension, all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to You.
(Matthew 28:18)
As the second Adam, You have taken back the stewardship and authority that was lost, and now, in Your name and authority, we have been sent. We live and move in that authority.
And in Your authority, we battle against the enemy.
Your Word says, “This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.”
(1 John 5:4)
Our faith is in Christ. Our faith is in what You have done, and our faith is in who You have said we are.
Lord, show me the battle, and show me my role in bringing about Your kingdom.
In my own life, reveal any open doors to the enemy.
For my family, my community, my workplace, my city and my nation—for the world You have placed me in—show me the specific roles You have for me in bringing Your kingdom on earth.
I ask this in Jesus’ name.

Lord,
I am a warrior with weapons, prepared and ready for this fight.
Firstly, I have the sword of the Spirit, the Word of God.
(Ephesians 6:17)
Constantly on my lips, in my mind, heart and thoughts.
I also come rejoicing, with worship and exuberant praise. I also come humbly, with confession before You, Lord, and before my brothers, so that the devil will have no foothold in my life. (Ephesians 4:27; James 5:16)
Lord, I am commissioned to rejoice and bring punishment upon the unseen enemy through my worship, with the praise of God in my mouth and a double-edged sword in my hand. Through it, Your people inflict vengeance on darkness and punishment on demons, binding their rulers with fetters and their princes with shackles of iron. Your Word says, “This is the glory of all his faithful people.”
(Psalm 149:6–9)
Show me more, Lord, of the unseen realm.
Worship, praise, thanksgiving, simple service, obedience, prayer and humility—all these are weapons in the battle we fight against the enemy.
Lord, show me the specific weapons and words You have for me to use for the specific battles I’m called to. Show me what You have given me to use in the various battles I am involved in.
Show me, Lord, and may I be faithful to use them today.
In Jesus’ name.
Amen.

PRAY

Father,
I am a warrior who overcomes by the testimony and declaration of my mouth.
Lord, You said that we triumph over satan by the blood of Jesus, the Lamb of God, and by the word of our testimony. (Revelation 12:11)
Our testimony is not just the story of how we came to know You, Lord. It is our present declaration of truth and expression of faith and obedience in the midst of whatever battle we are facing right now.
Lord, we do not fix our eyes on the circumstances, difficulties or struggles around us, whether they are in relationships, physical sickness or financial issues. We hold on to Your words and Your promises.
May these things become our testimony—our declarations, our statements and our conversations.
We testify to Your unchanging nature and character.
We testify to Your promises and Your works on our behalf.
We testify in prayer, in conversation with our brothers and sisters, and to all we meet.
When the devil accuses us—for he is the accuser of our brothers and sisters—we will fight with testimony.
(Revelation 12:10–11)
When the devil lies to us—for he is a liar and the father of lies—we will combat those lies with the testimony of Your truth.
(John 8:44)
Lord, “the men of Ephraim, though armed with bows, turned back on the day of battle.”
(Psalm 78:9)
But Lord, we will not turn back.
Before we see the breakthrough, we will thank You, worship You and praise You for it.
Lord, show us the weapons, the testimonies and the promises You have given us for each of the battles we are in.
I ask in Jesus’ name.
Amen.

PRAY

Lord,
I am a warrior who has been called to fight and wrestle in prayer on behalf of other believers and for the world.
The apostles spoke of constantly remembering believers in their prayers, day and night, always giving thanks and praying with joy.
(Romans 1:9–10; Philippians 1:3–4; 2 Timothy 1:3)
They carried the burden of prayer faithfully.
They prayed for unity, joy, peace and hope.
(Romans 15:5–6, 13)
They prayed for wisdom, revelation, spiritual strength and deeper love.
(Ephesians 1:17–19; 3:14–19)
They prayed for discernment, fruitfulness, perseverance and sanctification.
(Philippians 1:9–11; Colossians 1:9–12; 1 Thessalonians 3:10–13; 5:23–24)
They prayed for encouragement, faithfulness to God’s calling, and that believers would be equipped to do the will of God.
(2 Thessalonians 1:11–12; 2:16–17; Hebrews 13:20–21)
In prayer, they were watchful and thankful. They struggled and contended as they devoted themselves to prayer.
(Colossians 4:2, 12; Romans 15:30)
They prayed in the Spirit on all occasions, with all kinds of prayers and requests, always praying for all the Lord’s people.
(Ephesians 6:18)
They prayed for one another and asked others to pray for them—that God would open a door for their message, that the Word would spread rapidly, and that they would be delivered from wickedness.
(Colossians 4:3; 2 Thessalonians 3:1–2; James 5:16)
Lord, as warriors, we respond to Your command to fight through prayer.
Show me how to go to battle in prayer, how to fight for my brothers, and how to pray for whoever You place on my heart.
Give me the faithfulness and tenacity to keep praying until Christ is formed in the believers.
(Galatians 4:19)
I ask this in Jesus’ name.
Amen.

PRAY

Lord,
I am a warrior commissioned to heal the sick and cast out demons.
Renew our faith in Your Word and Your promises regarding healing. Open our eyes to the unseen realm where satan keeps people bound through sickness, oppression and bondage.
Jesus, You gave Your disciples power and authority to drive out demons and cure diseases, and You sent them to proclaim the kingdom of God and heal the sick.
(Luke 9:1–2)
You said, “Heal the sick who are there and tell them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’”
(Luke 10:9)
You said, “I have given you authority… to overcome all the power of the enemy.”
(Luke 10:19)
Lord, much of Your ministry on earth was healing the sick and casting out demons. You “drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick.”
(Matthew 8:16)
And You commissioned Your disciples—and through them us—to drive out impure spirits and heal every disease and sickness.
(Matthew 10:1)
Lord, stir our spirits for this battle. All around us people are being kept bound, sick, oppressed and ineffective through the work of darkness.
May holy anger and boldness rise up in us to join the fight.
Use us, Lord. Teach us how to heal the sick, cast out demons, set people free and bring Your kingdom on earth. This week, give us an opportunity—and the boldness—to step out in faith in this way.
I ask this in Jesus’ name.
Amen.

Lord,
I am a warrior, and I know that I will fail You many times—in small things and sometimes in big things.
Jesus, You knew that Peter would fail. You said, “I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”
(Luke 22:32)
Lord, that is so beautiful and profound. Although we may fail, don’t have to fail in our faith.
Like children—Your children, Your sons—we come humbly back, again and again, to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
(Hebrews 4:16)
We receive Your washing and cleansing, and then we rise up again.
And when we have turned back, help us go and strengthen our brothers.
What we need is not a brotherhood of perfect men, but a brotherhood of humble men who, even in the face of failure, do not give up—men who return to faith, are strengthened by the Lord, and then strengthen one another.
Lord, “we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved.”
(Hebrews 10:39)
You understand our weaknesses, Lord. You Yourself were tempted in every way, just as we are, yet You did not sin.
(Hebrews 4:15)
So You do not stand far away from us in our weakness. You invite us to come boldly to Your throne of grace to receive mercy and grace.
(Hebrews 4:16)
Like Peter, when we have turned back, may we rise up strong, stand firm in the faith, and strengthen one another in the Lord.
(Luke 22:32; 1 Corinthians 16:13)
Show me how to do this.
I ask in Jesus’ name.
Amen.

Lord,
I am a worshipping warrior.
David, the worshipping warrior, once lost everything. He had been rejected by Israel, rejected by his enemies, and everything had been taken from him. Even his own men—his closest companions—were so distressed that they spoke of killing him.
But at that moment, David found strength in the Lord his God.
(1 Samuel 30:1–6)
Lord, David understood the severity of the battle. He knew the brokenness of his own sinfulness, but he also knew the healing of Your forgiveness, restoration to sonship, and the sweetness of Your presence.
David was a wholehearted warrior—a man after Your own heart.
His beautiful words still resound:
“One thing I ask from the Lord,
this only do I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze on the beauty of the Lord
and to seek him in his temple.”
(Psalm 27:4)
Lord, David did not find his strength apart from the battle, but in the middle of it.
In the midst of the battle, he found his sustenance, his strength and his delight in You.
Lord, in the midst of the battles in my own life, show me the sweetness of Your presence.
As I continue to persevere in prayer and obedience, may I become the worshipping warrior You desire me to be.
I ask this in Jesus’ name.
Amen.

PRAY

Father God,
You have made Your eternal purpose clear—to bring one family together under Christ and under one Father.
You are gathering brothers and sisters from every tribe, nation and language, and from every generation—past, present and future.
Every one of us You foreknew, and You predestined us to be conformed to the image of Your Son, so that Jesus would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.
(Romans 8:29)
Lord, we thank You for our human families, but our hearts are also filled with anticipation for the true, eternal family You are building together.
And we get to participate in that family and live in it right now.
We are called and challenged to live as Your family—as brothers and sisters—right now.
Relationships are hard. Our pride and ego are confronted, and we must die to ourselves daily.
But You have shown us that Your desire is complete unity.
Jesus, we respond to Your heart and to Your prayer for us.
Before the cross, You prayed:
“I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one—I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.”
(John 17:22–23)
Jesus, this unity is not only for the future. It is for now.
We recognise that the devil works constantly to divide us and keep us from unity, because he knows that we are strongest and most effective when we are united.
Lord, burn within me Your passion for the unity and oneness of Your body.
As far as it depends on me, I commit to live at peace and in unity with every believer I meet.
(Romans 12:18)
In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Amen.

PRAY

Lord Jesus,
I am a servant leader in Your kingdom.
You, Jesus, are the perfect servant leader.
We need leaders who lead like You.
Whether we lead a few people, our families, a business, a ministry or a church, we commit ourselves not to seek to be served, but to serve.
“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
(Mark 10:45)
We put to death selfish ambition and empty pride.
In humility, help us to consider others above ourselves, not looking only to our own interests, but also to the interests of others.
(Philippians 2:3–4)
When You washed the disciples’ feet, You knew that the Father had put all things under Your authority. You knew where You had come from, and You knew where You were going.
(John 13:3–5)
In Christ, we too have been given authority.
We know that we have been born from above in Christ, and we know that our eternal destination is secure in You.
Therefore, we follow Your example and do for one another what You have done for us.
“Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet.”
(John 13:14)
You said that we will be blessed if we know these things and do them.
(John 13:17)
Lord, we offer ourselves to You as selfless servant leaders.
Show us whom You desire us to serve and whom You are calling us to lead.
Help us to lead by serving, just as You did.
We ask this in Jesus’ name.
Amen.

Father God,
You are the Lord of the harvest.
We have prayed many times for You to raise up workers for the harvest, and we will continue to pray.
“The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”
(Matthew 9:37–38)
But like Isaiah, we also respond to our own prayer and say:
“Here am I. Send me!”
(Isaiah 6:8)
Lord, You have commissioned and sent us to Jerusalem—our own communities; to Judea—our own nation; to Samaria—those who are different from us but live nearby; and to the ends of the earth—to every nation.
(Acts 1:8)
Lord, we go in Your authority.
We go to make disciples of all nations, baptising them and teaching them to obey everything You have commanded.
(Matthew 28:18–20)
Help us to live as examples of obedience to all that You have commanded.
And Lord, we rest in the knowledge that You are always with us, even to the very end of the age.
As ambassadors for Christ, we recognise that You are making Your appeal through us, calling people to be reconciled to God.
(2 Corinthians 5:20)
Your missionary heart is given to every believer, not only to a special few.
Lord, I respond to Your call.
Show me my mission field.
Show me the Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and nations to which You are sending me.
May I respond with humble obedience.
In Jesus’ name.
Amen.

PRAY

Precious Heavenly Father,
At the end of this journey, I come back to where we began—to sonship in Christ.
Your Word says:
“For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.
The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.
And if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ—if indeed we share in His sufferings so that we may also share in His glory.
(Romans 8:14–17)
Because we are sons, You sent the Spirit of Your Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba, Father.”
Therefore, we are no longer slaves, but sons. And since we are sons, You have also made us heirs.
(Galatians 4:6–7)
Father, as a son, I respond to You.
Once again, I receive and drink deeply of the Spirit of sonship—the Spirit of Christ living in me.
Lord, help us to build ourselves up in our most holy faith and to pray in the Holy Spirit.
Help us to keep ourselves in Your love as we wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring us to eternal life.
(Jude 1:20–21)
Help me to be merciful to those who doubt.
Help me to snatch others from the fire and save them.
(Jude 1:22–23)
Father God, our eyes are fixed on You.
You are able to keep us from stumbling and to present us before Your glorious presence without fault and with great joy.
“To the only God our Savior
be glory, majesty, power and authority,
through Jesus Christ our Lord,
before all ages, now and forevermore!”
(Jude 1:24–25)
Amen.
