Personal Challenge #14: Living as One who is Loved (Part 3)
My Heart is secure. My heart is steadfast.
“…Through the unfailing love of the Most High he will not be shaken.” Psalm 21:7b
Journal Entry, Age 32
Last night my heart felt all squished, stressed, under pressure and carrying it all and I released it all to you. You are amazing. I felt like I’m learning that age-old lesson I’ve always desired to learn: to go to You first. Not to my future husband, but You first. A husband couldn’t release my heart from all the pressures. He could listen and care for me, but You can take my cares and carry them.
“Cast all your cares on Him, for He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7
Journal Entry, Age 33
I’m opening all the doors of my heart to Jesus. I had opened doors to escape – escaping all the feelings that happened [during a super hard season], and I’m closing those doors now. Today I choose to NOT escape from negative emotions.
My desire is that all my words and all my actions would come from a heart completely secure in You. Jesus continuously left the crowds to be with the Father. I’m recognizing the need for a secure heart. Recognizing that Jesus is my community first and foremost!
“Don’t have any gods before Me. Be led by My Spirit. Seek Me. Let no one come before Me in your life.”
“Don’t even leave your house with an unsecured heart” (Moral Revolution). I have to get my own heart right. Whatever it takes. Get my own heart filled. Whatever it takes.
I will follow You. I will come to You daily. Teach me through Your love – wake me up in the morning with revelations of Your love.
You want my first thoughts of the day. You say, give those to me, and see what I will do.
Fill up my heart so I don’t look to friends for affirmation.
Now, all the doors of my heart are open to You. You are welcome in EVERY ROOM.
I saw You in my apartment. On my couch, sitting next to me at my table, sitting with me on the balcony. I saw that Your Holy Spirit filled my entire apartment all the way to the ceiling with Your love and presence. Full heart.

I felt mad at God again… over my singleness, after another “could he be the one??” didn’t pan out. But I will not stay there, I will not stay mad at God as I did in that premature relationship where I didn’t know His love. I WILL TRUST HIM. I WILL KEEP MY EYES ON HIM. Even if I don’t get the desires of my heart, I WILL STILL PRAISE YOU. YOU ARE ENOUGH FOR ME. I AM FULLY FULFILLED IN YOU.

Worshipping alone, along with a worship Live, since we can’t meet in person due to covid. So alone in a room but I will praise You. Please give me a revelation of your presence. I am so aware of my aloneness right now. Feeling angry over my aloneness. But I will not escape from these feelings. I will run into You with these feelings. I’m feeling vulnerable right now and craving to be held. Jesus… I turn to You in this.

When I felt secure, I said, “I will never be shaken.” Psalm 30:6

Yes, my soul, find rest in God;
my hope comes from him.
Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.
My salvation and my honor depend on God[a];

for God is our refuge.

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me.” John 14:1
I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. Eph 3:16-20
“May he strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all his holy ones.” 1 Thes 3:13
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. Colossians 3:15-16
