Personal Challenge: Living as One Connected to Him (Part 2)

“You are the God who sees me”

She gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her: “You are the God who sees me,” for she said, “I have now seen the One who sees me.” Genesis 16:13

Journal Entry, Age 33
If my eyes are on my singleness, I am shaken. If my eyes are on my age and time ticking on, I am shaken. If my eyes are on my prospects, I am shaken. If my eyes are stayed on GOD, I will never be shaken. And He does not take His eyes off me (Job 36:7a).

My eyes are ever on the Lord.
Psalm 25:15a

But my eyes are fixed on you, Sovereign Lord; in you I take refuge.
Psalm 141:8a

I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord watches over you—
the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.
The Lord will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.
Psalm 121

“Do not fret – it leads only to evil”
Psalm 37:8b

You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast,
because they trust in you.
Isaiah 26:3

Personal Challenge:
On what are your eyes set? When panicky thoughts regarding my singleness come, “I TRUST YOU I TRUST YOU I TRUST YOU. I TRUST YOU WITH MY LIFE, whether that is in singleness or marriage. Say it until you know it. And in moments of shaking, say it again.

Dream with Him

“You set me in your presence forever.”
Psalm 41:12

Personal Challenge:
Is there anything the enemy is trying to hold over your future from your past? Are there any lies he tempts you to believe?
What does God say? What is your response?

Psalm 51:12-13

Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will. 2 Tim 2:25-26

“Remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death and cover over a multitude of sins.” James 5:20

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” 2 Corinthians 5:17-21
