Discovery Bible
Note: Over the next while, the Discovery Bible portion will be a chapter from Romans 1-8. On Day 17 we will look at verses from these chapters and see how the cross changed everything.
The immense significance of what happened at the cross was something that I couldn’t understand until later in my life. There was a stumbling block that blocked me from seeing that Jesus needed to die FOR ME too. Ever since this block was removed, God has been giving me glimpse after glimpse into the truth of what the cross means for me.
Because of the cross, 100% restoration of purity and healing of the most impossible situations is absolutely possible. There is nothing Jesus didn’t die for.
As you read this chapter, ask the Holy Spirit to teach you from His Word about the cross. Consider these questions in light of what you read in Romans:
- What happened at the cross? What does the cross mean for me?
- Why did Jesus have to die for me?
- What did Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross give me?
