At the wedding, the Bride walks towards her Groom - the One she has chosen to say yes to, forsaking all other lovers. Before, she may have looked here and there, but the wedding signifies her decision; her promise. As she walks toward her Groom, the path is clear between them, there are finally no other gods before Him.

You shall have no other gods before me. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. Exodus 20:3; Deuteronomy 6:5

He began to show me what it means for me to live as His Bride (which all His people are, as One Body). He showed me how I had been living as ‘spiritually single’, and what it now meant to live as one who is completely and perfectly loved; completely and perfectly cared for.

Never again will you be called "The Forsaken City" or "The Desolate Land." Your new name will be "The City of God's Delight" and "The Bride of God," for the LORD delights in you and will claim you as his bride. Isaiah 62:4 NLT
