Process to Freedom

Before I could love Him... He loved me.

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

I can never forget the extravagant demonstration of His love to me when He rescued me from the snare of my sin. I cried out to Him, and He came to rescue me!!!

...He rescued me because he delighted in me. Psalm 18:19b

He lovingly cared for and healed all the wounds caused through my sexual sin.

I will heal their waywardness and love them freely. Hosea 14:4a

His love eradicated the lie that I was alone, and I began to be aware of His ever-present companionship. He showed me His care, affection, attention and provision as I began to seek Him instead of other sources for these things.

His love eradicated every last whisper of shame, and I began to live with my face uplifted, living in His light and beneath His loving gaze and began to feel His pleasure for me. In prayer He showed me in an undeniable way, His love for me in the midst of my sin. That was when I realized I was completely and perfectly loved throughout all time.

He gave Himself for us. Ephesians 5:25b

Talk with Jesus

I believe Your Word that You love me. As I look back over our relationship, bring to my remembrance specific ways that You have shown me Your love. I ask for a fresh revelation of Your love, desire and delight for me.
